How CIS Works
Rome-Floyd Communities in Schools

What is Rome-Floyd CIS?
Rome-Floyd CIS is a succeed-in-school program adopted by
the city county school systems in 1993, in partnership with
business and community leaders.

Our Mission
The CIS mission is to increase this community's high school
success rate.  CIS connects community resources with
schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in
school, and prepare for life.

Where Do We Serve?
There are CIS classes in 7 schools, serving more than 285
students:
  •        Rome High School
  •        Armuchee Middle School
  •        Coosa Middle School
  •        Model Middle School
  •        Pepperell Middle School

Additionally, CIS serves all schools in both systems by
coordinating the Rome-Floyd Mentor Program for them
(32 schools, 15,000 students).
